Whew that was some hard good test cricket played today at
Newlands..Gritty knocks by Prince and Kallis today.Prince has been the
star for this season and has surprised me.The one dayers and the
upcoming world cup will now probably hide the serious shortcomings
within the SA TEST TEAM,Since the return from isolation the batting
that has been seen this summer has been pretty woeful and up there
with the worst, I cant remember seeing such terrible batting against
anyone besides Australia here on our shores..As for Pakistan Mohammed
Asif has been a collusus but the fact remains he should never have
been hear after the taking the dope.Their openin pair like ours are
terrible,the wicketkeeper is shoddy with the gloves and thats where SA
scored a slight edge and the fact that besides Asif and Kaneira
Pakistan had no good backup bowlers save for a little Ahktar cameo.
